Guitar Hero is heading for a tribute to the greatest rock bands, and what better way to start the spin-offs than with Aerosmith? The group of Boston with 35 years of history behind them has introduced the second significant foray into the PC Gaming Universe.
Red Octane gives us the opportunity to play guitar in hand, 25 songs of the band, with an overwhelming majority of hits from the 70s (their best time, according to scholars of rock). Dream On Mama Kin and classics are incontestable, but the code seems to ignore the most popular album of the group: Get A Grip. In the game you will find only one item out of it (Livin 'On The Edge), something incomprehensible, given that the potential audience of GH, for the most part, discovered this record by searching for Aerosmith. In fact, the game seems to focus on the mainstream market, because the level of difficulty has been quite lowered compared with previous Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock (in my opinion the best Guitar Hero).
Guitar Hero Aerosmith supports Windows XP and Windows Vista, its minimun requirements are a Pentium D or AMD equivalent processor, at least 1 GB of Ram and a DirectX 9.0c compatible videocard with 128mb.
This game doesn't innovate the original GH III formula at all, therefore I consider it just for Aerosmith die-hard fans.
